Dear Friends in Ministry,
We hope this note finds you well and enjoying God’s faithfulness and hope as the New Year continues.
For those who are new to this vital Lay Leadership position in your local church in 2008, we welcome you. And to those of you who are continuing your ministry service in this position for another year, we give thanks and praise.
We began our work in 2006 as your District Lay Leaders with two Lay Leader training gatherings that were well received by those who attended. We built on those events in 2007 and hope to communicate with you via email on a regular basis, encouraging you to engage with us on important concerns facing your church and helping equip you as key leaders and partners with your pastors in 2008.
Our hope and prayer for you in 2008 is that you will claim your passion for ministry and live it out in the fullness of your calling. We are grateful for your leadership and ministry in the East Central District. Thank your for your faithfulness to the tasks at hand, and as we answer God’s call together in this Church that we love, may our passions be evident and our work for the Kingdom be fulfilling!
